Leaders came together in December at COP21 in Paris to talk about climate change, challenges and policy.

Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), who led the recent COP 21 climate talks in Paris shares “The Inside Story of the Paris Climate Agreement” at TED Vancouver in February 2016.

Where are we now?

Today leaders of over 150 countries gather in New York to sign the Paris Agreement at a high-level signing ceremony.   “The Paris Agreement was adopted by all 196 Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) at the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris on 12 December 2015. In the Agreement, all countries agreed to work to limit global temperature rise to well below 2 degrees Celsius, and to strive for 1.5 degrees Celsius.”

Lauren Helper from Green Biz sums up “The 5 biggest shifts since the Paris climate talks.”

The world is watching and all sectors are mobilizing.
