Samantha Leigh
Samantha is a sustainability consultant with Green Spark Group. While studying at Quest University Canada in Squamish, BC, she implemented a successful waste management system that diverted over 80% of the university’s student waste from landfill. She was awarded a Showcase Presenter position for her undergraduate thesis on waste contamination at local food service institutions and has presented at various events including a TEDx conference. Sam values community and is passionate about empowering people and businesses to reduce their impacts on the environment. While working as an Environmental PA on Y: The Last Man (FX, 2021), she engaged crew in recycling and reusables initiatives, and coordinated surplus food donation through Second Harvest in the Greater Toronto Area. Sam is hopeful that humans will overcome the global climate crisis and is dedicated to supporting that change in the motion picture industry.
