Hourly Rate: $25.00 CDN / hour

Hours: 20 hrs/week, 

Location: Remote, across Canada

Tools & Equipment: The contractor will have continual access to a computer in good working condition with camera and microphone, and high-speed internet.

Working Hours: The contractor will be required to participate in weekly, on-camera Zoom meetings and virtual co-working sessions during working hours, Monday to Friday- 9am - 5pm PT. The contractor will be responsible for completing daily/weekly tasks independently and will check in at the beginning and end of each work day to ensure timely responses to email requests and other communication requirements.

 

About the Role

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing GSG's day-to-day digital marketing, content, and social media output across three affiliated brands: Green Spark Group (GSG, ~80%), Sustainable Entertainment Society (SES, ~10%), and TTI — the Tie-In podcast (~10%).

 

Key Responsibilities

Green Spark Group (GSG) — ~80%

●      Execute GSG's social media content calendar; bank and schedule posts using Hootsuite, Canva, and Squarespace across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other active platforms.

●      Draft and publish email newsletter content.

●      Maintain and update GSG website copy and Insights / blog.

●      Draft brochures, one-pagers, reports, and other marketing collateral as directed.

●      Monitor analytics and compile regular performance reports.

●      Execute paid ad placements/ad spend as directed. 

●      Maintain consistent brand voices across, representing them according to their individualised marketing strategies.

●    Produce analytics reports, and identify recommendations for growth opportunities.

●    Community Management, including responding to social media comments, messages, and inquiries.

●    Support coordination with third-party vendors on content and marketing deliverables.

Sustainable Entertainment Society (SES) — ~10%

●      Schedule and post SES social media content.

●      Support SES newsletter and website copy updates.

●      Work with the SES team, marketing interns, and digital media specialists. 

TTI (Tie-In Podcast) — ~10%

●      Support podcast promotion: create and post social clips, episode and speaker announcements, cross-platform scheduling.

●      Work closely with the Tie In podcast producer and hosts.

●      Post show notes and assist with podcast newsletter/website integration.

General

●      Attend team and project planning meetings.

●      Provide operations/admin support related to marketing and communications as needed.

 

Preferred Qualifications

●      Experience executing digital marketing and communications plans.

●      Well written and well spoken, with the ability to represent the organization professionally.

●      Inclusive, collaborative, and detail-oriented.

●      Self-sufficient and versed in Google Drive, Slack, Canva, Hootsuite, and other remote working tools.

●      Highly organized, able to work autonomously and within a team.

●      Understanding of sustainability in the entertainment industry.

●      Comfortable managing multiple brand voices and content calendars simultaneously.
